Fervo Brings First Next-Gen Geothermal Power Online

Fervo Energy started its Cape Station plant in Beaver County, Utah, delivering the first utility-scale enhanced geothermal power to the grid. The 100-megawatt first phase can power about 70,000 homes, with Southern California Edison as primary customer. Fervo went public in May with a market cap above $10 billion, later falling to about $5 billion.
