Anthropic Supports Court Block for Risky AI

Anthropic told California Governor Gavin Newsom that courts should be able to block AI models posing serious risks. The letter, dated 15 October, responds to Newsom's executive order. Anthropic backs independent evaluators reporting risks to the attorney general, who could then ask a court to pause the model.
