O-ID Raises $1.2M for Modular Humanoid Robots

Tokyo-based O-ID raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding led by TAWANI Ventures to build modular humanoid robots for industrial manufacturing and logistics. The robots use onboard AI sensors to predict component failures and allow on-site module swaps. First factory pilots are targeted for early 2027, with a CES 2027 unveiling planned.
