Fins Replace Tree Supports in 3D Printing

Matthew Trahan has built a tool that generates fin-style 3D print supports instead of grid or tree supports, cutting material use and surface scarring. The tool, made with Claude's help, runs locally or at printfins.com and bakes fins directly into STL models. Slant3D pitched the concept; a slicer plugin may follow.
