AI security scanning found 17 bugs in Perfetto's trace processor over 10 weeks, bugs that would not have been found a year ago. The C++ library processes recorded traces and sits in the long tail of security-relevant but not security-critical projects. These bugs were missed by existing fuzzing tools.
