Cargo thieves staged car crashes to steal AI data center hardware shipments moving from Silicon Valley to Southern California. Gerardo Pachuca, a freight security consultant and former Los Angeles sheriff's detective, said each truck had a private escort vehicle. One escort car was rear-ended by a fleeing driver.
