Steam Machine RAM limits performance

Valve ships each retail unit with a single 16GB DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory stick. This configuration forces the Steam Machine into single-channel mode instead of utilizing dual-channel bandwidth for faster data transfer speeds. The current supply constraints prevent Valve from including two sticks in every box, resulting in up to twenty percent slower performance compared to a standard dual-stick setup.
