Microsoft Patches 398 Flaws, Zero-Day Under Attack

Microsoft's August updates patch 398 CVEs, including CVE-2026-68820, a Windows kernel driver zero-day actively exploited to reach SYSTEM. Four unauthenticated RCE flaws (CVSS 9.8) affect DNS Server, WDS, QUIC, and HPC Pack. The release also completes a SharePoint RCE chain fix started in July.
