Isuzu Tests Battery Swapping for Garbage Trucks

Isuzu Motors is testing a three-minute battery-swapping system for electric garbage trucks in Yokohama, running through March 2028. The system uses the EVision Cycle Concept to swap depleted packs with charged ones, avoiding midday charging delays. The trial follows a September 2025 commercial test with ITOCHU Corp. and FamilyMart for delivery trucks.
