Older AMD B550 and Intel B560/B660 motherboards cap secondary M.2 slots at PCIe 3.0 x4, halving Gen4 SSD speeds. CrystalDiskInfo reveals the link speed. Modern boards support full Gen5 and Gen4 speeds simultaneously.
