Slack built Shipyard, a next-generation EC2 platform that treats infrastructure as deployable artifacts. Shipyard uses immutable images, automated safety checks via Gondola, and a new inventory system called Peekaboo. Instances have limited lifespans and are automatically rotated. The platform supports AMD64 and ARM Graviton instances.
