China will release its first national standard for automotive solid-state batteries in July 2026. The standard, titled Solid-State Batteries for Electric Vehicles, Part 1: Terminologies and Classification, defines key terms like liquid, semi-solid-state, and all-solid-state batteries. A draft for public consultation was completed in December 2025.
