Newsom Signs California AI Workplace Law

California Governor Gavin Newsom signed the No Robo Bosses Act, barring employers from solely using AI to fire or discipline workers and requiring human review of AI-driven decisions. The law also bans AI emotional-state prediction from worker biometric data and mandates written notice for AI-driven mass layoffs. Newsom had vetoed an earlier version in October.
