A developer built a video conferencing system using PostgreSQL as the real-time message broker. The implementation uses SvelteKit frontend, a Node.js WebSocket server, and $5 PlanetScale PostgreSQL. Logical replication streams video frames, audio, chat messages, and presence changes without polling. The code is open sourced.
