Wealthsimple launches prediction markets app through US exchange Kalshi

Wealthsimple announced Wealthsimple Predict, a standalone app launching this summer that gives Canadians access to nearly 4,000 event contracts through US exchange Kalshi. The contracts cover climate, economic indicators, and financial markets with a 30-day or longer settlement period. Fewer than one in 20 Canadians have placed a prediction market bet.
