The Senate Commerce Committee advanced the Kids Online Safety Act, setting up a possible floor vote. The House passed its version in June as part of the KIDS Act, bundling KOSA with COPPA 2.0. The Senate version requires opt-outs from addictive features and a duty of care; the House version omits that provision.
