WhatsApp is launching usernames: here's how to reserve yours

WhatsApp is introducing usernames, rolling out gradually over the coming months. Reservations open this week via Settings > Account > Username on Android or by tapping You and selecting Create Username on iOS. Users can claim their existing Instagram or Facebook username. Usernames will hide phone numbers from non-contacts, and there is no search, people need an exact match to contact you.
