Mazda flips stance, says touchscreen beats buttons

Mazda now argues a touchscreen is safer than 15 similar-looking physical buttons. CX-5 program manager Koichiro Yamaguchi said a finger on a screen minimizes eyes-off-road time compared to reaching for lower-positioned switches. Temperature and fan controls remain fixed at the screen's base for easy access.
