Mastercard and Borderless will pilot Mastercard's Crypto Credential framework to add trust to cross-border stablecoin transfers. The pilot tests governance signals for compliance and risk processes; Mastercard will not process or settle funds. It follows Mastercard's $1.8 billion acquisition of BVNK.
