BT Buys TalkTalk Out of Administration

BT Group bought TalkTalk and PlatformX Communications out of administration, preventing the collapse of a UK broadband provider that is also a major customer. The deal is expected to have a total cash impact of £400 million for the 2027 fiscal year. BT said the move was in the public interest after talks to sell TalkTalk's consumer and wholesale businesses fell through.
