Battery installations in the US hit a new record in the second quarter of 2026, with 20.2 gigawatt-hours of new capacity coming online. That supply can meet the daily electricity needs of about 700,000 homes. The country is on track for 71 gigawatt-hours installed in 2026, a 20% increase over last year.
