Alibaba unveils automotive RISC-V processor IP

Alibaba's DAMO Academy unveiled the XuanTie E908A automotive processor IP at the RISC-V China Summit in Shenzhen on October 19. The chip supports ASIL-B and ASIL-D safety requirements and targets five times the performance of existing products, with a launch expected by the end of 2027. Cumulative shipments of chips using the XuanTie processor IP have exceeded 6 billion units.
