Apple Sets October 13 Smart Home Launch

Apple will announce three new home products on October 13, led by a smart home hub code-named J490 with a 6-inch display and Siri-based operating system, plus a refreshed HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K, Bloomberg reports. The hub, roughly 18 months late, competes with Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest Hub. A larger HomePod with Siri AI is not coming next month.
