Google will enforce Android developer verification starting September 30, 2026, in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Certified devices in those countries will block normal installs of unregistered apps from Google Play and stores by Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Honor, and Transsion. Unregistered apps can still install via ADB or a high-friction advanced flow.
