Trump Renames AI 'Super Intelligence' at UN

Donald Trump told the UN General Assembly on 22 September that US documents will now call AI 'super intelligence', rejecting global control and pledging to encourage the technology rather than rein it in. The rebrand clashes with a Senate bill that would ban artificial superintelligence, and comes days after Geoffrey Hinton warned Congress it has about a year to act.
