President Trump called IBM CEO Arvind Krishna a legend at a December 2025 roundtable. In May 2026, IBM and the Commerce Department proposed a $1 billion CHIPS Act award to build a quantum chip foundry called Anderon in Albany. IBM is matching the award with $1 billion of its own.
