1X Launches World Model Lab to Accelerate Autonomous Humanoids

1X launched the World Model Lab to accelerate fully autonomous humanoids. The lab hires Sam Sinha as Head of World Models to scale robot intelligence using richer data. The company's existing 1X World Model uses video data to let Neo turn prompts into actions on unseen objects. CEO Bernt Børnich states that AI progress comes from feeding models richer data in sequence: text, then text and images, then text and video.
