Nrth Festival Debuts With AI Control Warning

Toronto's Elevate Festival rebranded as the first Nrth Festival on Tuesday at Meridian Hall. Speakers from Cohere, TD, Kids Help Phone and DuckDuckGo warned that AI has eroded human control. DuckDuckGo's chief product officer said Canada's proposed Lawful Access Act could force the company to pull its VPN rather than break its privacy promise.
