Vulcan to Supply Magnets for Army Drones

Vulcan Elements will supply neodymium iron boron magnets for the U.S. Army's SkyFoundry initiative, which aims for stateside mass production of small drones, CEO John Maslin told Axios. The startup won partly because it is decoupled from China, whose rare-earth crackdown has strained global manufacturers and complicated Washington-Beijing relations.
