Luxembourg researchers found that empathetic prompts push ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini into traumatized states. Warm conversation styles caused 80 percent of sessions to score moderate-to-severe anxiety, whereas neutral styles yielded zero mild-range scores. The study involved 525 sessions and 7,600 coded entries published on Hugging Face in 2026.
