Westchester County shared 1.6B plate scans with ICE, lawsuit says

A coalition of civil rights groups filed a class action lawsuit against Westchester County over its 600-camera license plate reader network. The lawsuit alleges the county shared 1.6 billion plate scans with over 50 outside law enforcement agencies, including ICE, without proper authorization, calling it an indiscriminate surveillance system.
