Researchers Rithwik Jayasimha and Rithvik Vibhu explored security flaws in fiber-to-the-home connections using Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) standards. The passive nature of these networks may leave them vulnerable to attacks targeting the link between users and their ISPs.
