In a 776-person experiment at Procter & Gamble, individuals using AI matched two-person teams without it. AI-assisted individuals improved solution quality by 0.37 standard deviations and spent 16.4% less time. A separate NBER study of 1,174 adults found gains faded when AI was removed.
