Beta flies first US air taxi cargo missions

Amazon-backed Beta Technologies completed the first flights of the US government's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program, launched by a Trump executive order. The debut missions transported manufactured organs for United Therapeutics between Maryland and Virginia, covering about 275 nautical miles. Beta expects its eVTOL certified in 2028.
