Android backup data now counts toward Google storage

Google now counts all Android backup data types against the 15 GB Google Account storage limit, including SMS text, call history, and device settings. The change adds roughly 40 MB on average. New per-app toggles and on/off controls for SMS, calls, and settings are rolling out. Existing users get 45 days before the policy takes effect.
