Walmart-backed gaming publication lays off editorial team

Restart.run, the Walmart-funded gaming news site launched in December 2024 by Moonrock, laid off its entire editorial team. Editor-in-chief Brandy Berthelson and editors Jesse Vitelli, Imran Khan, and deals writer Myles Obenza confirmed the layoffs on Bluesky. Walmart and Moonrock did not respond to requests for comment.
