Russia Mandates ERA-GLONASS for Drones

Russia will reject flight plans from October 1, 2026 for civilian drones over 250 grams not connected to its ERA-GLONASS tracking system. The Ministry of Transport says connection becomes a prerequisite for submitting plans. Only 1,205 drones and 1,027 users are registered so far, far below the 16,398 civilian drones produced in 2024.
