Apple's new Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro chips has NAND storage soldered to the logic board, ending the removable SSD upgrade path of M4 and M4 Pro models. The 256GB configuration also uses a single NAND chip, roughly halving SSD speeds versus 512GB and up, according to Blackmagic Disk Speed Test results.
