Microsoft Cuts Carbon Removal, Boosts AI Spending

Microsoft bought about 80% fewer carbon removal credits this year than last, its first retreat in three years. The company's AI investments caused a 25% emissions increase last year, with $41 billion spent in Q2 and $175 billion expected for AI infrastructure this year.
