Empire Interactive abandoned plans to revive the 3DO console and remaster its games days after announcing them. The company cited multiple parties claiming ownership rights over the games and console. Empire Interactive owner Işık Şekercigil owns the 3DO company name but not the IP for the hardware or games, which Throwback Entertainment holds.
