Cisco Patches Critical Email Gateway Zero-Day

Cisco has patched a critical zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2026-76461) in its Secure Email Gateway software that was being actively exploited. The flaw, found in email parsing, allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges by sending a crafted email. Cisco released a security advisory on Monday, and CISA has added the flaw to its KEV catalog, ordering federal agencies to patch within three days.
