BMW Tests Humanoid Robot In Leipzig Plant

BMW Group launched its first European humanoid robot pilot at the Leipzig plant in December 2025. Developed by Hexagon Robotics, the AEON robot began performing production tasks by June 2026. The initiative explores applications in high-voltage battery assembly and component manufacturing operations.
