Alibaba's mapping unit Amap reportedly to enter global robotaxi market

Alibaba-owned Amap is preparing to enter the robotaxi sector with plans to expand globally. The initiative is described internally as a strategic-level business and a key growth driver. Amap was fully acquired by Alibaba in 2014 for US$1.5 billion.
