Kyoto Fusioneering landed U.S. Department of Energy and Tennessee grants to build the Unity-3 fuel breeding device at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The Japan-based company raised $121 million and is moving its U.S. headquarters to Oak Ridge. Unity-3 will test liquid lithium and other breeding blanket materials.
