Ollama Adds Free Local Text-to-Speech to Mac

Ollama introduces free, local text-to-speech models on Macs starting with Phonon, built by Gradium. The English version is free under Apache 2.0, while French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and multilingual models are limited to noncommercial use. Running on Apple Silicon Macs with Ollama 0.40.11 or later, Phonon runs 35% faster than Gradium's runtime on an M5 Max chip without losing accuracy.
