Blizzard Announces Open-World StarCraft Shooter

Blizzard revealed a new StarCraft game at BlizzCon 2026. It is an open-world shooter, not an RTS, and is scheduled for release in spring 2030. The project is led by Dan Hay, former lead producer on the Far Cry series. A cinematic trailer was shown, but no gameplay was demonstrated. The announcement screen featured only an Xbox logo.
