Red Balloon Aerospace, founded by former Skyroot executives CVS Kiran and Sireesh Pallikonda, launched India's first indigenous super-pressure balloon in Vijayawada in May 2026. The startup builds near-space platforms operating 20 km above Earth for communications, earth observation, and disaster management. It has secured eight mission commitments.
