Canonical funds AI C-to-Rust PhD project

Canonical is co-funding a three-year PhD project at the University of Bristol's Programming Languages Research Group to explore using AI to translate large C codebases into Rust. Engineering vice president Jon Seager announced the investment on Ubuntu's Discourse forum.
