Ford Dealer Fires Employees Over N-Word Stickers

Two employees at Rusty Eck Ford in Kansas were fired after one typed the N-word on his own vehicle's service sticker, which remained in the system and appeared on oil change reminders for four customers, including a Black man. The incident, uncovered weeks later, prompted an apology and replacement sticker, but the customer and his family say it was insufficient. A second employee who found and removed the slur but failed to report it was also fired. The dealership cited its zero-tolerance policy for discriminatory conduct. Similar incidents occurred at Volkswagen and Nissan dealerships in recent years.
