Pony.ai and Verne have started fully driverless passenger rides in Zagreb, Europe's first, using an Arcfox Alpha T5 with Pony.ai's seventh-generation system on a 22km route to the airport, booked through Uber. The partners plan over 2,000 robotaxis across Europe, but EU-wide approval caps fully automated cars at 1,500 units a year.
